Join as a community together to share the power of voice in unison. To open the voice is a tool for expression. This evening will be a mixture of kirtan (call and response meditation) as well as song sharing (you do not have to share a song but are more than welcome).

You don’t need to be a good singer, a practitioner of yoga, or a follower of any religion or set of beliefs to experience the power of kirtan. An open mind and willing voice are all that is required!

This is a donation based event, if you have the means then pick a donation but equally if you do not have the means please come and join <3

Many people drop in temperature. It is sensible to have a blanket at the ready. All you need to do is relax and let the gongs do the work!

The headstand, also known as the King of asanas is one of the most empowering asanas. The benefits of a regular headstand practice are endless; it improves posture and proprioception, it activates core awareness, decompresses the spine, improves digestion, it helps to manage mental fatigue and depression, and improves the function of the central nervous system, among many others. Standing on your head also activates the energy of sahasrara, your crown chakra, your connection to the divine, improving concentration. I invite you to come and explore this challenging yet accessible asana in a fun, informative and safe environment. We will work with the mechanics and alignment of the pose, different entries, drills, and variations, and of course we will practice it in a safe and fun way. Whether you are already practicing but you would like to dig into different variations and transitions, or if you are new to it and want to learn drills and tips, this workshop will give you the tools and confidence to incorporate and/or explore this valuable asana into your regular practice.

In this 2 hours extended masterclass we will move through the 4 elements that are usually practiced separately and that will come together to create one deep, introspective and soulful movement experience. Expect understanding better the psychology behind the elemental archetypes, activating the target areas in the body with element focused yin practices, sensorial showers and specific pranayama techniques, and moving through 4 creative mandala flow sequences that will bring you a sense of embodiment of the 4 elements revealing its specific psychological and physical qualities. We will close with one last 4 element restorative practice to balance the body, soothe the nervous system and restore our energy, integrating it all in a closing ritual.

Empowering you to find new freedom, strength, and creativity in your practice. Jamie believes that feeling strong and free on the mat can help us to feel strong and free off the mat, and he is passionate about helping people explore this relationship for themselves. Arm balances are a fantastic way to do this, and Jamie believes that inefficient technique is the thing that usually prevents people getting into these poses, rather than a lack of physical strength. Small differences in the preparation for these more extravagant looking poses reveals their inherent simplicity and the common thread that runs through all arm balances. This workshop is designed to provide you with all the understanding and technique needed to safely practice a range of arm balances, thereby helping you to develop newfound strength, creativity, and freedom of movement within your practice. The workshop will begin with a breakdown of the fundamentals of all arm balances, exploring the common thread that they all share. Once clear on this, we will begin to focus on each individual arm balance and understand what makes them different, how to practice them safely, tips and tricks for getting into them, as well as when they might be performed within a Yoga sequence. We will then practice a short flow designed in a way to provide the opportunity for students to practice all of the arm balances we have studied in flow. After the short practice, there will be the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the contents of the workshop, and Jamie will also offer some exercises that can help you continue to build strength specifically to make these balances easier for you in the future.
